How can I use toastmasters to prepare for a career in International Business?

Written by

Life Begins at the end of Your Comfort ZoneToastmasters is truly an International organization. You only have to go one of its annual conferences and watch the parade of banners in the opening ceremonies to truly appreciate how international it is.

You don’t say what country you live in.

Toastmasters is a pay as you go organization and as long as you can afford it, you have the opportunity to visit clubs around the world, if you are willing and able to travel. Assuming you are already a Toastmasters member, there may be districts nearby you that are located in other countries. They likely have District Conferences that you could attend.

If your travel budget is a little tight, you may consider joining an on-line Toastmasters club. They are often composed of members from different parts of the world. It is good exposure to people from different cultures and countries.

There are also several social media venues that are composed of international Toastmasters members. These can be helpful for developing on-line relationships that can be beneficial should you visit your connection’s country.
